The GÉANT MD-VPN service delivers L3VPN (IPv4/IPv6), point-to-point L2VPN and in a near future (GN4) multipoint L2VPN over several network providers (domains). The VPN is delivered at the edge of the NREN.
The MD-VPN service can be easily extended to regional network i.e. that the VPN is delivered closer to the end-users at the edge of the regional network.
