About TechLab
TechLab is an initiative to facilitate access to information on research network infrastructures and services that can be made available to work on modern and innovative solutions. We want to help in accessing cutting-edge technologies and bring together specialists, researchers and research teams to transcend existing limitations, share knowledge and experience, and promote valuable work results.
TechLab grows out of a research networking environment, people who understand that the technologies of tomorrow are produced in teams, in interdisciplinary relationships and in collaboration. Sharing resources and services are beneficial for accelerating work and rapidly creating pilot solutions and realising advanced tests.
We want to promote test infrastructures whose owners are open to collaboration. Working together can contribute to deepening knowledge and gaining new experience. Easy access can attract researchers and promising ideas. Innovative work carried out in test infrastructures can also be an opportunity to collaborate with innovative vendors and service providers.
TechLab is expected to increase the visibility of test infrastructures as well as the solutions that have been developed there.
The pace of change and the emergence of new solutions requires constant adaptation to new requirements. Infrastructures and services are also changing. The TechLab is intended to be a place with up-to-date data. Also, their owners can use TechLab to plan changes and improvements.
We start with a list of testbeds created as part of the European GN4-3 project. These are provided by a team called Network Technologies and Services Development. However, this is only the beginning. We want TechLab to collect information about network test infrastructures from around the world, built and managed by projects and institutions of all kinds.
