LOGISTICAL INFO
Travel to Slovenia:
Slovenia is part of the EU. There are no restrictions on entry into Slovenia, all you need is a valid travel document and a visa, if you are not a resident of the European Union. If you need a visa, please visit the webpage for more information. You can apply for an e-visa via this link, but as of now, the applicants must print out the visa form and lodge it at embassies or visa centers.
Money:
Slovenian currency is EUR (€). You can pay by card in most places, some taxies might sometimes be an exception – please consider asking the taxi service whether card payment is possible before accepting the ride.
Airport transfer:
We recommend asking your hotel to call a taxi for you when you land in Ljubljana and when you leave the hotel to go to the airport at the end of your stay. This might halve the cost of the transfer, as sometimes the taxis hired directly at the airport can be extremely expensive.
If you fly to one of the neighboring countries’ airports, like Trieste, Venice, Vienna, or Zagreb, we recommend you take a look at GoOpti transport options, which are usually very budget-friendly, comfortable, and quick.
