Description

--

If users connect, disconnect, deactivate, reactivate audio devices, Adobe Connect does not dynamically select the best audio device.

This is so important for the users. In fact this is the number one reason for why many users find Adobe Connect difficult to use. They have great difficulties selecting the right device and configuring the audio correctly.

Steps to reproduce bug:

1. Deactivate all your audio out devices on the computer (under Control Panel).

 2. Open a Connect meeting room in Connect add-in, and make sure you receive audio from another computer that is logged into the meeting room.

 3. Next reactivate your default audio out device on the computer.

 4. Listen to the audio in the meeting room.

 Results:

You will not be able to hear any audio because Connect add-in cannot dynamically detect that the audio device has been activated.

If you open the Audio Setup Wizard, Connect add-in will crash (Windows 7).

Flash Player seems to be much better at detecting audio devices dynamically. If you run the above test in Flash Player, the player will automatically detect new devices without crashing.

Add-in used in the testing: 9.4.80 on Windows 7 Pro SP1 in Connect 8.1

Expected results:

We would expect full support for automatic detection of active audio device in Connect add-in and the flash player.
