This page describes the process we will be using to identify training needs, to prioritize them, to realize the needed training materials and to evaluate training sessions.

The process follows these steps:

  • Step 1: Nominations (= gap analysis)
    A gap collecting survey will be used to allow us to reach out to AL/TLs for ideas and training nominations.
    This is a sort of Learning Needs Analysis for the AARC project.
  • Step 2: Selection process 
    Having collected all the ideas we need to scrutinise them again some sort of criteria to decide what goes into production.
    The following criterial will be used: 
    • topicality of the materials: how relevant they are at the moment 
    • alignment with AARC project results 
    • alignment with AARC targeted audiences 
    • life span/ durability of the impact and value of materials 
    • prices of execution = budget 
    • availability of MM/ resources for execution 
    • complexity of execution 
  • Step 3: Scoping of each module 
    Next, the scope of each selected module will be identified. As a result, each module get a clear one page outline. 
  • Step 4: Pilot 
    The module outline then gets reviewed by target audience asking them to rate the interest and value of this module.
    Basically, the project asks for a confirmation from the audience for which created the module.  
  • Step 5: Execution 
    Execution will follow these steps:
    • Timeline of execution
    • Team members responsible 
    • Budget of execution 
  • Step 6: PR and Marketing 
    The project will create a plan of how we will disseminate info and advertise the trainings produced
    For registration EventR will be used and the visibility of trainings will be raised via https://aarc-project.eu/ and https://learning.geant.org/.
  • Step 7: Feedback and Impact Measurement 
    After the actual module, the project will then measure immediate feedback (post event feedback) and impact (3 months after the course).
