TCP Fusion

TCP Fusion is a combination of a loss-based and a delay-based congestion control protocol similar to TCP-Adaptive Reno and Compound-TCP. It combines characteristics of TCP-Reno, TCP-Vegas and TCP-Westwood in its congestion avoidance strategy. In short, the congestion window of TCP-Fusion is decreased without causing too drastic reduction and is increased with smart adaptability to coexisting TCP-Reno flows according to the congestion level measurement estimated from RTT. The goal is to obtain high throughput when there is unused residual capacity while retaining friendliness to exisiting TCP-Reno flows.
