All

Based on the schemas we have received, elaborare the list of topics, agree on a rough final content table, discussion on how to proceed (editors, methods) but above all "the content and the goals"

*   Strengthening Collaboration: Explore ways to enhance collaboration and cooperation with NRENs that are lagging behind, such as establishing mentorship programs, knowledge-sharing initiatives, or targeted capacity-building workshops.

>  *   Incentivizing Engagement: Encourage individual NRENs and people to actively participate and contribute to the GÉANT community and/or fellow members. This could involve developing strategies, recognizing and rewarding their efforts, highlighting the benefits of engagement, and providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

>  *   Building a Community Identity: Find ways to promote a sense of belonging and identity within the GÉANT community. This could involve highlighting success stories and impactful projects from diverse NRENs, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect, and encouraging active participation in community events and discussions. Expand the Perception of The GÉANT community, work on shifting the perception of GÉANT from being solely seen as a company in Amsterdam and Cambridge that delivers services. Highlight the broader role of GÉANT as a collaborative community that fosters innovation, knowledge exchange, and cooperation across the European R&E landscape.

>  *   Embracing Diversity: Actively promote and celebrate diversity within the GÉANT community by creating inclusive environments that value and leverage differences. Encourage participation from underrepresented groups, facilitate cross-cultural exchanges, and explore ways to address any barriers that hinder diversity. Of course, diversity is not a a topic in itself, but instrumental for the cohesion in the community.

>  *   Succession Planning: Develop strategies to ensure smooth transitions and continuity for key roles and bodies within GÉANT. This could involve identifying potential successors, providing training and development opportunities, and establishing clear processes for knowledge transfer and handovers.

>  *   Effective Communication: Focus on effectively communicating the values, goals, and accomplishments of the GÉANT community to external stakeholders, including the European Commission and other relevant entities. Utilize various channels such as reports, presentations, workshops, and conferences, but also the influence all individual members have through the EC member-states, to showcase the importance and impact of the GÉANT community. Don’t take the community for granted!

>  *   Future Readiness: Based on the topics above: Provide input and ideas (from the community) to envision the future of GÉANT in the 'fit for '28'-discussion and the new organizational structure that board and ECEC are currently working on. This to ensure that GÉANT remains adaptable, innovative, and well-positioned to support its members effectively.

  1. Governance: where we meet to oversee a formal element, i.e., GÉANT Association, EOSC Assoc. etc 2. Formal projects: characterised by external funding and compliance obligations. Current list of projects with GÉANT involvement at https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.geant.org%2Fpages%2Fviewpage.action%3FpageId%3D490537143&data=05%7C01%7Cpaul.rouse%40geant.org%7C5016530e2fae4870949308db7632a716%7Cd8cc37ca6546448c83690f1026a3306b%7C0%7C0%7C638233733575002185%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=gu5TFcQr9yutDuT%2FRQIqkd1SUk9vsEO49sN0jlh%2FgSc%3D&reserved=0
  2. Service contracts: increasingly relevant as the EC changes the distribution of funding (i.e., HPC/EOSC): Where the community acts together to deliver a service under a formal contract, typically of a commercial nature. Think about the discussions under Fit for 28 here as we consider our function/form.
  3. Unfunded community collaboration: exemplified by GCP, where any funding is of a negligible value.
