- Overview from Nicole.
- Purpose: Nicole described the position of the Trust and Identity Harmonisation Task within SA5 and the broader GEANT project. She highlighted the importance of collaboration.
- Tools: intranet, wiki, skype: some issues with access to the intranet being looked at. Wiki will be the main interface for work, Nicole will make sure the relevant stuff goes up on the intranet. Let Nicole know your skype ID - connect with her at harrisnv. ACTION: Nicole to set up a skype chat area.
- Travel: Travel needs to be approved by Ann but please check in with Nicole first before asking. Those who are going to TNC should consider attending the entity category training: those who are going to TNC consider attending the training event on Code of Conduct and Entity Categories:https://tnc15.terena.org/core/event/5. Please consider and let Nicole know if you are happy to lead one of three unassigned areas. - Workplan, what can we achieve in YR1? Nicole has started by putting some broad work areas on this wiki space.

- Entity Categories
This work is reasonably well defined and the first actions will arise out of a report from the training at TNC. Peter asked why we had been asked to slow down on definitions? Nicole said this was mainly federations feeling overwhelmed by the noise - we can of course continue to work on defining things. Of the two new category areas, affirmation seems like an "easy win", academia is more challenging and needs more use cases.
- Code of Conduct
Mikael gave a brief update on the status of the Code of Conduct work:
- training in Porto.
- Code of Conduct has been submitted to the WP29, no formal response yet.
- Code of Conduct for work outside of Europe. Initial draft but work has been slow, need non-Europeans to react.
- Update of data protection - currently implementing new legislation in Europe. This will be tracking and taking time to see how we fit with the new regulation.
Nicole described this very briefly. First challenge is to see if we can achieve greater adoption of the Metadata Registration Practice Statement via edugain.
- Assurance
Assurance work will be all about interactions with other groups. Mikael is leading on assurance work within AARC so we have good links there - AARC is tasked to look at a baseline assurance profile by end of 2015. We are not about defining frameworks. SA5 work will focus on campus implementations and surveying the cost / impact analysis of doing assurance via campus liaison.
- Interoperability
- STORK: Nicole caught up with Christos at the AARC meeting and will arrange a VC to get this work started. All should take a look at the presentations given at AARC: https://aarc-project.eu/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/20150604-CK-AARC-Kickoff-eGOV-ID-EIDAS.pptx.
- FedLab: conformance testing (improvements to be added based on experience with OpenID testing to SAML testing). checking aspects of federation operation (using entity categories).
Challenges: bringing together with other services - what do federations need, how does this work with stuff edugain is doing (NH add refeds link). Do we use fedlab.org as the central place?
Miro: taking f-ticks through the RFC process. Can show good results from this from several federations. use this as an initial showcase. Who can provide the tools and now knowhow? How can we make best use of this? There are already good examples here of how we can take this forward.
