POSITIVELY PLANNING: WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED FROM LOCKDOWN LIVING THAT HAS VALUE FOR THE FUTURE 'NORMAL'?

OK, so 'Zoom fatigue' is a thing, online etiquette is patchy, and there have been challenges in keeping colleagues engaged, but people have also found some unexpected positives in the current situation. What can we learn from the now that we could perhaps keep in the future? For example, colleagues miss each other. It's possible to join in multiple events in a single day. And we have been getting better and more creative in managing online events.

In this session, breakout groups will discuss how challenges of living and working online have revealed positives or led to new initiatives or 'learning moments', and examples will be presented back to the whole group.

JOINT SESSION - HOW CAN RESEARCH ENGAGEMENT & MARCOMMS COLLEAGUES SUPPORT EACH OTHER's WORK?

This session will explore how to share needs and requirements from both the research engagement and marcomms sides of NREN work: how can teams at national / global level add value to both areas of work?

INTRODUCTION:

  • brief introduction to SIG-Marcomms
    • what kind of information marcomms needs from research engagement colleagues;
  • brief introduction to TF-RED
    • stages of development, useful tools and channels, what 'success' looks like, interview series
