Feature requests v8.0 - unsorted

The numbers in parenthesis comes from the prioritization we did for v7.5 (see below)

The coding below means F = Feature, A = Audio, V = Video, M = Managing, G = General

    75% percent of support cases are audio related. 188 documented cases at Swedish universities during 2 months!

Feature requests in order of importance v7.5

The prioritization is done by the members where each member has 20 points to distribute among the features. The total sum for each request is presented in parenthesis after the request. Even if not all audio requests are at top, we have agreed that the far most important feature request is a good fluent audio. In the future we might put the audio quality requests into to one point.

  • Better debugging and logging - i.e. to see which streams are heading to/from particular user (and even better if we can see i.e audio quality and level
  • Better streaming export - to separate CDN/streaming facilities.
  • How to move content from AC server to dedicated FMS?
  • Browsing recording&content metadata on separate server.
  • audio leveling for host on au
  • AGC
  • Automatic creation of standard meeting room, when the user is created (and get Meeting Host status). Via account and login information the user will get a URL to the first meeting room. Preferably, the administrator would be able to turn off this feature. Reason: This would get users started very quickly. Most users would not need to get acquainted with the Connect Central interface, and would get direct access to the Connect meeting application. (Thorkild - FskNet)
