The Global Interactive Map is a collaborative effort of the GREN. The work is done by a core, federated team made available by a number of RENs, supported by a network of REN staff contributing data.

Core Team Roles

  • Software Development
  • Project management oversight, in particular
    • overall project management
    • development stories or epics
    • deployment infrastructure setup
  • Soliciting and coordination for collection of network data
    • Overall coordination
    • Regional and national coordinators
    • Data contributors
  • Working group admin (meeting organization, minutes, adding new members)

Becoming a contributor

The GREN mapping team is always happy to welcome new contributors. At this time we specifically need

  • Software developers
  • Project management assistance, specifically
    • overseeing the push for “Version 1.0” TNC target release
    • development stories or epics
    • deployment infrastructure setup
  • Regional coordinators for the collecting network data
